The World teams Championships is down to the final two teams. It will be China (2) vs Philippines in the final to see who gets to walk away as the World champions and of course the large $80,000 first place prize. Even though for most of this tournament there have been many blow outs, I found it surprising to find out these trends continued today in the final four.

The Filipino team of Denis Orcollo, Lee Vann Corteza, Carlo Biado and Rubilen Amit have been dominate this past week and continued this trend today. They blanked China (1) 4-0 in this 6 set format. The way that the Philippines won this match was not only shocking but makes them the favourties going in the final.

China (1) vs Philippines Match Results
- Denis Orcollo vs. Wu JiaQing 8 Ball Singles, 6-3 (PHI)
- Biado and Corteza vs. Li He Wen and Chu Bing Chia 8 Ball doubles,  6-1 (PHI)
-Corteza vs. Li He Wen singles 9 ball, 8-3 (PHI)
-Rubilen Amit vs. Han Yu,8-3 (PHI)

China (2) vs Japan Match Results

China (2) vs Japan did not fair the same way as this was a much tighter contested affair. This match ended up 4-2 in favour of China (2) and they will have a shot of redemption for Chinese hopes. For those that were are not aware, China was able to have two teams this year, as it is protocol for the host countries to get two teams in the WPA events. Both of these teams were funded by their government and not winning this event after having both teams in the final 4 would be a huge disappointment.
